A newly developed remote monitoring app for Android devices has been published on the Google Play store. The application is a miniaturised version, which provides just a few remote measurements served by a data server. The application is heavily based upon the work of Maria Pappou and Christos Zaptses, which have originally developed an arduino-android project.

The tiny remote monitoring app presents data from a default data server but can be configured to display data from any server with similar webpage configuration. Basically the app parses a webpage generated by the web server by looking at sections which

start with a number and end with

tags and extracts the numeric part, with an exception in the case of motion detection that it extracts the whole

...

string.
